Where do my donations go?

The donations go directly to one of our NGO partners. We support 42+ NGOs across 38 districts. Once you raise a request, our NGO mapping algorithm would pick an NGO for your donations depending on various parameters- location, items to be donated, their quantity etc. Then the donations would be picked up by our logistics partner and delivered to the NGO. You would be notified the details of the NGO where your donations went via automated email.

How can I pack the donations?

You can pack them in anything you have as long as the volume constraint is met. Generally our donors use those blue/black disposable bags (bio-degradable type if available) to pack the items as they are easily available at home.

Would you provide any packing material for donations?

If you've selected "Medium to Heavy Pickup" - Yes, you can add the "2 Carton Combo" to your donation cart. Just make sure to select the add-on "Bring 2 carton boxes" while doing so.

Which slots are available for pickup?

The 2-wheeler pickups are near-instant and are available every day in most cities. Typical slot timings for pickups are 10 AM -6 PM.

The final slot would be confirmed to you a day in advance by our logistics partner. Once they are nearby your place on the pickup day, they will contact you to confirm if you want a contact less pickup or pickup from home.

How do you ensure my donations go to the right place?

All the donations are continuously tracked by our monitoring systems; right from the point of pickup at your doorstep - all the way to the NGO's drop point. On completion of the process, you'll be notified the details of the NGO where your donations went via automated email.

We support 45+ NGOs across 38 cities. Once you raise a request, our NGO mapping algorithm would pick an NGO for your donations depending on various parameters- location, items to be donated, their quantity etc. Then the donations would be picked up by our logistics partner and delivered to the NGO.

We're also continuously working with our NGO partners on making this process as transparent, accountable and efficient as possible. We care about your donations as much as you do :)

In which cities are you operating?

We currently have our doorstep pickup service in, Chennai, and all over in Tamil Nadu

Is there any tax benefit for giving good donations through the platform?

We are a tech platform that facilitates donation pickups (for goods only) and get them delivered to the NGOs.

Also, there is no tax exemption on goods donations in India so the NGO would not be able to provide the same as well. We can provide you a thank you letter from the NGO if you wish (please check with us at 8610017545) before the pickup so that we can check with the NGO matched to your order and confirm.

Are there any specific guidelines for the goods I can donate?

All the donations must be reusable* and in working condition. Most of our NGO partners do not have facilities for refurbishment and directly distribute the donations as received. Hence please take care while preparing your donation items.

Here are a few examples -

  1. Clothes - must not be stained or torn; must be properly washed;
  2. Toys - must be in working condition with no broken parts/edges;
  3. Mattresses - must be pest-free;
  4. Home Appliances - must be in working condition; shouldn't need any repairs;
  5. Reusable means not torn, not broken, does not require repairs, is in working condition, properly sanitised and/or washed.
  6. Computers and laptops- those are in working conditions

What all items can I donate?

While raising a pickup request, you will be presented with a list of items accepted by our NGO network. This list usually depends on your location and the pickup option you selected (2-wheeler vs Tempo/Truck). Generally we accept all kinds of reusable* goods – clothes, toys, furniture, kitchen utensils, shoes, handbags, artificial jewellery, school bags and stationery items, prams, treadmills, computers, lap tops and so on.

Reusable means not torn, not broken, does not require repairs, is in working condition, properly sanitized and/or washed.

What to do if I do not wish to pay a convenience fee?

You can opt for the free drop off option. Based on your location and donation cart, we'll mail you a list of relevant NGOs. You can then coordinate with them directly and plan your visit.
